Déjà mort = Va mourire ?

In the Deja mort dvd Olivier Dahan says that at the very beginning the movie was to be called Va mourire, but changed after. Now there's another movie by Nicolas Boukhrief called Va mourire(1995) and it appears to be the same basic plot: 3 guys living in south coast France meeting a woman who will change their lives.
My question : Was there a relation between both of them and did Dahan intented to remake Boukhrief or am i totally wrong?

I haven't seen va mourire but they do sound very similar.
