Bruce Fan's Liking This Movie

I"m a big Bruce fan, and i was wondering if anyone could help me know if this movie is anything like his scetchs on KITH. Spanks a lot

Unfortunatley, not really.

Sigh, I bought this movie a few days ago for 5 bucks at a video store on VHS. I am sorry i did. I love Bruce, he's my favourite kid, but if you're looking for comedy like you saw on Kids in the Hall, you won't find it here. Look to his CDs or re-runs of the aforementioned greatest show ever for that kind of Bruce. Dog Park is a romantic comedy (which in general is an oxymoron(except for When Harry met Sally, of course)), so don't look for flying pigs, cabbage heads, or stupid police officers here. Look for a snuggley Bruce and an interesting Luke Wilson.

If you want more of the Bruce you know and love, i hear he's making a new show for HBO. Check (on) out his website at www.brucio.com

In a way, yes.

Bruce recycled several of his skits from "KITH." He made them less funny and more... well, relative to life.

And the bit with the "dog psychiatrist" played by fellow Kid Mark McKinney... well, that character is essentially a KITH character. You can tell. Even the people who hated the movie (most of the world) loved McKinney's Dr. Caravan.

Genie Award-Winner, there. It's not much of a flick. As a movie about relationships, human nature and our connection to our pets, it's not terribly insightful or inspired either.

I don't know of Bruce's work, but this film was OK.
