I really don't get the fan-love. It's an OK western but as westerns go it isn't anything unique or outstanding. Pretty much boiler plate TV western. Doesn't come close to the original movie. I do like that they did use the theme music. And I enjoy watching Ron Perlman act. He is always solid. Great casting as a would-be minister.
Aside from Robert Vaughn and Stephen McHattie I don't see they drew a lot of named guest stars either.
Am looking forward to seeing Bob Chapin crack his whip in Chinatown.
