What songs would you like to see Alan sing in his style?

Like in Series One of IAP he sings among others 'Wuthering Heights' and 'Killer Queen'.

I would like to see him sing 'How Soon Is Now' by The Smiths

Rodgers: "My Funny Valentine"
Sondheim: "Send in the Clowns"
Gershwin: "The Man I love"; "I Got Rhythm"; "Swanee"
"Lush Life" (I forgot who wrote it! oops!)

...Basically any old standard or Broadway tune would be hilarious!!

Perhaps these are obvious "comedic" choices, but I'd love to see & hear him sing them nevertheless!

Great question, BTW :o)

Japanese boy by Aneka?

I personally don't think he could ever top his renditions of 'Gaudete' and 'Jet!!'

reply

True by Spandau Ballet!

Lust for life by Iggy Pop.

"What are you, some kind of doomsday machine, boy?"

reply

Oh, yeah, it was like lightning, everybody was frightening
And the music was soothing, and they all started grooving

The Major General's song from The Pirates of Penzance (or the Element's song based on it). Daniel Radcliff sung it on Graham Norton's show - I think Alan could do better.

'Ça plane pour moi' by Plastic Bertrand.

Rocket by Def Leppard would be ideal for Alan, I can hear him now.
