All time funniest moment?

1) Yes I've just been eating some moose.

2) Susan, I got bored so I dismantled my corby trouser press.

3) Castrol GTX jacket at the funeral.

"1) Yes I've just been eating some moose." - It was years before the full impact of that joke hit me, I can be a bit slow sometimes!

Same with "No Alan, You CAN'T" - "Well there's no need for that!" - Again, took a few years before the other meaning in there suddenly hit me!

I think the first time you see "DAN! DAN! DAN! DAN! DAN! DAN! DAN! DAN! DAN! DAN! DAN! DAN! DAN! DAN! DAN! DAN!" and "No way you big spastic, you're a mentalist!" then they are moments that live with you forever!

The more I watch the show, the more the smaller and subtler moments stand out for me - wearing the Castrol jacket to the funeral is still one of my favourite moments in the show, and the way he walks around the funeral smugly adds to it. Also, his line delivery on the "breath of fresh air" is one of the funniest moments in the show for me at the moment.

reply

"Sometimes i dust venture south, and let me tell you when i do....its like a breath of fresh air". hahaha quality.

These are probably my favourite.

After he pierces his foot and Lynn tells him he needs to go to hospital... his response....

''Lynn... some of these people have come from Stoke!''

reply

His whole face in that scene is hilarious. He's speech during the presentation is hilarious...

I also like the bit afterwards when he's on morphine.

I like all the bits with Michael. Just too funny.

Also, I'll never be able to have bath again without hearing "Alan's deep bath"

reply

"Still, good news on the Chocolate Oranges."

There are too many to mention though.

reply

"Don't shine that in my face, mate, I've just lost a pint of blood"

That whole "I've pierced my foot on a spike" sequence is hilarious in my view.

reply

When he was vomiting at the podium after impaling his foot on a spike.. that was funny. And the 'pyrotechnics' just made it even better.

I think you mean mousse.

Personally I like the sound-effect eff-ups:

"Next we have Mike from Palgrave. Are you there, sir?"
"Ohhhh, you ignorant cun*FANFARE SOUND EFFECT*

I love that wicked look that Dan gives Alan when they watch the video together.

And when he leads the RTE execs into Jed's room.

"Oh, I got my head down alright."

reply

"Lynn, I've just pierced my foot on a spiiiikkke!"

Every single time I cry with laughter. And his speech interspersed with gagging noises. It's almost too funny.
