Compared with 1950 Disney version

Could it be that this Cinderella version was highly influenced by the classic Disney film? Time and characterization of the characters seem nearly identical. Both adaptions seem to take place in the late 18th or early 19th century, both kings are good natured, funny little men. Even the towers with the striking clock resemble the style of the castle in Disney's 1950 version.
