I haven't been able to find a source for "Captain James Cook". Does anyone know where I can buy a copy?

Thanks, Dave

Someone used to sell them on Ebay in 2003. I tryed to order from Planet DVD in Australia, but they ultimatly said they could not locate the dvd. They said there were VHS floating around.

These are all PAL format.

I wish I had bought from ebay when I had a chance!

I did get a copy from Australia. They said it was the last copy they had and they could not reorder.

Try a search for 'Captain James Cook DVD' and you might come up with a seller, I did.

I copied the mini series off TV when it ran on TNT in the US about 16 or 17 years ago. I was beginning to think I was the only person who remembered it. Every now and then, I check deepdiscountdvd or dvdplanet to see if it is out on DVD. No such luck! Too bad. While I enjoy watching my copy on VHS (and I fortunately edited out the commercials while I was taping it almost two decades ago now), the picture quality pales in comparison to what could be put on DVD--not to mention the possibilities of loads of special features. Just what the heck is keeping this excellent, excellent, excellent mini series off DVD.

I'd love to purchase this on DVD, but it could be problematic as I live in the US. I was vacationing on Moorea during production in 1986 and saw a few scenes being filmed. Have never seen the finished product, but I'm glad to hear it turned out great.
