Is this the movie I'm thinking of? (maybe spoilers)

Is this the movie in which a character murders people with a hammer and eats them? I couldn't tell from the trailer.

If it's not, do you have any ideas?

Heard about it years ago but was too young to see it in theaters.

I don't believe that this is the exact movie. I do think that there is a scene similar to what you are talking about. Either way you would be doing yourself a great service by watching this movie. Even if it's not the one you are thinking of.

I couldn't agree more, at least check this movie out even if it's not the one you're thinking of. Also, Robert Carlyle's characters do not kill anyone with a hammer. Sorry i can't help you out with whatever movie it is you're thinking of.

I'm not sure, but I think I remember reading a novella a long time ago where a person was killed with a hammer or hatchet, right to the back of the head. It was called "Birthright".

I'm pretty sure there is a fantasy-ish scene where Boyd goes postal on David Arquette with a big mallet and then starts eating him, so you might be thinking of that?

reply

There are no hammers here.
At the fear of being a spoiler, there is a scene where soldiers go into a cave, only to find, shall we say, something. Then this is when things get interesting.

You are wrong. As another poster already wrote, there is this nightmare scene, where Guy Pierce kills David Arquette with a hammer and eats him.

Let me hear you make decisions, without your television

The only film I can think of in which a character murders people with a hammer and eats them is the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre (despite the title).

Best of 2010:
Inception
How to Train Your Dragon
Shutter Island
and...nothing else?? Damn.

I think you're referring to the Midnight Meat Train http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0805570/.
The main antagonist (played by Vinnie Jones) kills his victims (as shown multiple times) with a butcher hammer. Although, he himself is not shown as a cannibal in that movie - the meat he collected was meant for consumption by a group of underworld demons called "The Fathers". That movie was based on a Clive Barker short story.
