If Brad Bird is up in years and done with IG altogether...

Why not allow for a reboot or a sequel?

reply

Because not every movie needs to be a part of a franchise?
Honestly, why don't people just stop asking for sequels to any mildly successful movie out there? Besides, as great as it is, 'The Iron Giant' was a commercial failure of epic proportions.

something's a failure of epic proportions and it sure isn't this movie.

If the iron (no pun intended) was ever hot enough to strike, it was at the turn of the century. The time has passed. I say let the movie stand on its own. Its status seems to be growing year after year. Why dilute its purity by attaching something derivative or inferior?

Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.
