Too bad it's taken almost five years for someone to respond to your post. I just found this for a buck at a thrift store. If it has Eric Roberts, it's got to be worthwhile. Even his "bad" films are watchable because of his performances.
shareOK, I've finally watched this a year and a half after I bought it.
While this film has some good performances and interesting ideas, I don't think any of them were fully developed. I like the quirky ideas and interwoven plots, which seem to be influenced by Altman, but I can't say I'll remember this in another year and a half. Eric Roberts and the rest of the cast do a respectable job, but I didn't get the sense that anyone really understood their characters. I certainly didn't.
6/10 from me, based on effort.
I really enjoyed it at the time. I felt like the awkwardness of it was self-aware, and it took me to a weird place mentally. Admittedly not a well crafted movie by normal standard.
I need to rewatch it, but I don't know where I'll find a copy now.
I'm pretty sure I unloaded my copy, so I don't think I can help you. Regardless, I hope you are no longer in a weird place mentally, or at least have moved onto another place of lesser weirdness.
