I was ripped off

I love Alan Rickman, watched this movie for him. It was an unsettling movie I would call good. But what really ticks me off is I saw it via my cable company's free movies on demand service and they edited out the nude Alan and gay kiss scenes you are all raving about and I feel cheated !!

Why'd they do that to me ?!!??

I saw Rickman taking off his shirt, then they cut the film to the scene with Rickman coming out of a house (clothed) and hugging and holding hands with the young man. When I watched it, it didn't make sense why Rickman took his shirt off on the boat, then suddenly is clothed again.

I want the naked Alan scene back so I can see it !!!!

Or would someone please tell me what exactly happens that was edited out ? Thanks.

OH MY GOD! same exact thing just happened to me!

Yes, I too have just witnessed this barbaric editing. I call to question if Fear.net felt the "gay" factor was too high for their standards of a "quality horror" in which case, I've just finalized my relationship with the channel.

Taking out the kiss makes this film too abiguous to bare.

Thanks for explaining this. I just watched the movie a few hours ago on fear.net and kept wondering if something was missing. It had all the markings of a great movie---not unlike Roman Polanski's "Knife in the Water"--but it just had the sense of being incomplete via editing. Any cuts in addition to the scene described above?

I just watched it on Demand myself, and it showed Alan in the boat taking off his ring, watch, shirt, etc.... and then him swimming to the island, and then walked up to the house ( all you see is his butt, but barely, because it's dusk time and dark!!)Then he walked out of the house with clothes on. I think it was a way of leaving Alexis behind, it was the wedding ring and watch she gave him he took off, on Thier boat. I think it was the writers way of showing he was "starting over" leaving all of Alexis behind.
I thought this was a good movie, at the end I was left with a "what just happend" feeling, so I came on here and looked it up, and now I understand thanks to all of you, and now I want to go watch it again, to pick up what I missed!
If you haven't seen this yet, or want to see it, it's on Fearnet on demand right now, on Comcast. So I would suggest seeing it!!!!!!

I am with the rest of you. I just finished watching on fear.net and though I liked the movie I feel cheated because of the editing. I think I will have to try and find it on dvd.

Oh my God! I would have LOVED to have missed the ending/kiss! It ruined the whole movie for me. Gimme a break, the guy commits adultery with a dude, when his wife was to die for, and then goes to all that effort and time and trouble to deceive her completely, instead of just divorcing her, and to MURDER her, just so he can steal all her money, her house, her life, and screw his gay ho?????? And ya'll are CHEERING that????

^^I know the feeling. Here is the better, real ending: a heroic guy (who of course resembles me)rescues and saves Alexis before the toxins can kill her. She falls in love with him, he gives her the attention she always deserved, and they toast the conviction of David and his lover for their attempted murder.

I LOVE your ending! YOU should be the one getting paid to write, not these sorry idiots! Thank you. I feel better now. ;)

I don't think it's as much of a Fearnet thing, as it is an American thing.

People getting disemboweled left and right? Blood and gores galore? Totally okay.

Two dudes kissing? NNNNNNNNNNNNUPE!!!

It just shows how bass ackwards this country is in terms of appropriation.

You missed it totally, as so many people do. I don't give a crap what he and his boyfriend do. AFTER he's divorced!!! He was hurting her terribly, and he shouldn't have been. She didn't deserve it. HE was doing wrong. He deserved wrong in exchange, not her!!! If you want to screw around, men, at least have the manliness and decency to get a divorce first!! And don't murder or steal from people who DON'T DESERVE IT, just because you feel like being a selfish pig. That's all I'm sayin'.
