Did anyone else see the twist coming?

I have to admit I was already judgmental of this movie right at the beginning. This was listed as a thriller and come on, throw in a shady looking stranger whilst alone on an island, I was already like, oh that guy's just gonna go on a psycho killing spree. I thought the movie was dragging and I was just frustrated and waiting for everything to snap.

And I keep commenting aloud how some things are just 'so gay' like the sleight of hand thing the Young Man did with David and the cigarette, and the Wilma/Marilyn Monroe scene. I keep telling myself, oh Norman's really pretty and the way he sang was just adorable and whatever.

But still... I DID NOT SEE THE GAY COMING. Oh my god. At the very final scene, where David and the Young Man kissed, I screamed and laughed too loud my mom went to check on me. I felt so stupid like it was staring at me all along and I was already commenting on it being gay, but yeah, the twist hit me like a huge slap on the face. I was laughing and crying like an idiot.

And now I'm gonna watch this movie again trying to watch out for those hints.

So yeah, how about you, did you really see the twist coming?

It's weird how I just randomly checked on this film. (Knowing it is hard to find)and there is a recent post. In answer to your question, No I did not see the twist coming.

I heard about an interview with Reedus and Flanery and an audience member asked Reedus about his kissing scene with Rickman and Flanery interupted and said "wait a minute you made out with the Bad Guy from Die Hard?" Anyway. It is a cool dark film. I personally don't know a living soul who has seen it though.

I figured it out allready in the beginning (that it's a setup) since David kept telling her to watch the road.

I got the "gay" vibe from him when Alexis had him dress up in the cabin... He seemed a bit to good at it ;)

So yeah, I figured it out. But it was still an interesting film.
