Do you think that this version of Rodgers And Hammerstein's Cinderella was better than the original?

When it was announced that a new TV version of Rodgers And Hammerstein's Cinderella was going to be made I instantly knew that it would be a hit and when it was announced that singer Brandy was gonna play Cinderella I knew that there would be a reason why it would be a success because Brandy not only was a great choice to play Cinderella but she shows her singing talent really well and I swear Brandy should do an album of Broadway covers because she sang very well in it. And I don't know how Bernadette Peters managed to land the role of the stepmother but she did it like a pro and unlike other versions of Cinderella's stepmother never once did Bernadette raise her voice and holler and yell at Cinderella in the movie and so that was a treat to see. But I think the starring role and the reason why this version of Cinderella got high ratings was Whitney Houston and she was the perfect fairy godmother and there was no one else who did the role perfectly like Whitney Houston and that alone helped garner ratings. And Paolo Montalban was so perfect as Prince Chris and considering that this was Paolo's debut on TV he shined in the role very well. The only thing I found wrong with this version of Cinderella is that only four songs from the original Cinderella were featured and the other songs where taken from other Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals and they feel out of place in the movie. But Disney did a great job on this version and made it worthy of watching
