Futuristic Truck from Nightman?

I'm not sure if anyone remembers, but in one of the episodes, they show this futuristic truck that had a trailer hover over a really cool looking truck, which looked pretty much like a sports car and was really low to the ground. It was in the very beginning of the episode.

I was searching for any information on the truck, the name, year, prototype, and there's nothing I could find.

If anyone could drop me some info on it, I'd be very grateful.

Hello, I do not know anything about the truck it self but I believe that there is a chance that it does not actually exist. A few years before Nightman was on the air there aired a failed pilot from the same producers, about elite mercenary truckers in the not too distant future. The Nightman episode was made by taking the plot, I believe about transporting an alien for the military, an clips from that failed pilot. They even digitally inserted the Nightman characters into one shot where they are just standing in front of the main character's truck.

Now I have no proof for this but I suspect that the truck was not real. The same producers in the late 70's an 80's would make low budget movies an have futuristic vehicles. What they did in the movies was build a frame around a truck or a car, like a float for a parade, an then show it driving a short distance on a closed set.

This kind of creative cost cutting also explains the Nightman/Manimal crossover. The woman who could transform into animals. An if you have never heard of Manimal it is officially considered one of the worst television shows of all time but still unforgettable. Just like My Mother the Car, the Flying Nun or Automan.

The show that your refering to is 'The Highway Men' also by Glen Larson. It was a late 80's show about futurstic US Marshals that drove the truck that also had a conceiled helecopter and a hidden sports car in the back. It was kind of a mismatch of Knight Rider and Airwolf/Bluethunder like so many tv shows that were popular around that time. It only lasted like one year but I'm sure you can find more about the truck if you research the tv show.
