This show could make it again

Since this show first aired numerous other series have made it into our religion of great shows. The 4400 is very similar in that it uses the human quality as its basis for consideration.

Perhaps the creators will consider bringing it back again to at least finish the story. I would just love to know what happened. Heck... publish a book and tell the end so we don't worry that our boy will be locked up in that cage for ever!!!

I agree. This was a very good show that shouldn't have been cancelled. Most of the shows I really like get cancelled at least by their third season if they survive that long.

This one and Firefly. Pity that mediocre shows can be aired so long and promising ones are cut.

This show sound like it would have been good. I miss it when it was on tv,and I do not think it was given enough time to find it target audience. I think if they were to release today, it will probably be successful.

A show like this could work, but their is an issue that I do not recall being addressed on the show.

If there was a new hominid species that looked like homo sapiens, but was more competitive than it would only be a matter of time until it replaced us. If it could not breed with homo sapiens then there would be inevitable conflict.

However on the show, homo dominant could breed with homo sapiens. So there is no need for conflict, since homo dominant individuals would be our children, cousins, etc. They would simply gradually become an ever larger percentage of the population over the next few centuries.

I.E. homo sapiens does not get killed off by homo dominant. Rather we become them over generations.

While the show was entertaining, its basic premise was not convincing.
At least not after the serialkiller episodes. "They" were described as
intellectual superior and with new senses but their actions were more
of the dumb kind and their behaviour was mostly that of the "humans
taken over by evil aliens" kind.
The newer - but also cancelled - show "Invasion" is way better in re-
presenting this theme,in all aspects.

Threshold was also an interesting series with a similar storyline.
