last movie is the first book?
Strange how Jerzy Hoffman produced these films in the opposite order of their release and chronology. You'd think this would've been the first movie just like it was the first novel in the trilogy but no.
shareIt was likely done because the first book deals with wars against Ukraine and with Poland being forced behind the Iron Curtain with the Soviet Union (which at that point ruled what would become the current state of Ukraine)....it was easier to have movies about wars against the Turks and Tartars than against their allies...
