instinct vs. one flew over the cuckoo's nest

i saw instinct on tv yesterday and it reminded me so much of one flew over the cuckoo's nest. ethan powell=chief bromden, theo caulder = mcmurphy, guard dacks = nurse ratched, etc. they both take place in mental institutes and even the endings are nearly identical. am i the only one to see it?

The only problem is what movies better to me they are equal they were both veey good movies
