No Sex Scene because Cuba was black?

How many people think that if he was played by a handsome white guy, there would be a gratuitous sex scene thrown in already?

Show me the holes!

Black people everywhere!

Now they think the Director was racist. Get a life and a work bummer!

Nice try, racebaiter

This movie's too intelligent, spiritual and insightful to contain a gratuitous sex scene. Theo's relationship with Lynn Powell (Tierney) was professional and based around the health of her father and their potential relationship. They got along well, but there's was no sexual chemistry and so their relationship was friendly but platonic. Furthermore, the movie was stuffed with ideas at 2 hours, 6 minutes; it didn't need an unnecessary sex scene. Those can/should be reserved for romcoms, dramas & horror flicks (etc.).

I agree.

and why does every film has to have a sex scene?

I dont think it was because he was black but just not type of film.

Sex in most films is unnecessary and a bad message. Given that this film was made to be good-feel and inspirational.
