Right before the Beijing Olympics, Good News Week was ion, now, all of a sudden its not, what happened?

I heard it would return in October, due to the *shudder*.. return of Idol, which if true really sucks 'cause without a healthy dose of GNW, I'm likely to go insane.. >_< Luckily though, it's been said that the show is lined up for another round in 2009 also!!
