Which host do you prefer - Jim Perry or Bob Eubanks?

I'd never heard of Jim Perry before I caught some episodes on GSN. He seems like a nice guy, good looking too; but I prefer Bob Eubanks - I've gotten hooked on Card Sharks now, but I only watch the Bob version. I've had a crush on him for years :)

I like Jim Perry better. Bob Eubanks really needed to loosen up.

Jim Perry, without a doubt. Like the poster above, Bob really needed to lighten up a bit. He never had Jim Perry's charisma.

Like both hosts, loving the show on GSN, and I remember a great moment with Bob Eubanks: The question: 100 pet owners were asked, if you had to choose between saving your pet and a strange person, who would you choose? How many said they would save the pet? I guessed, I believe, 33 and the real answer was 38 (or vice versa; it was in the thirties). He paused, stared at the card and said: This is human life we're talking about, folks. (beat) And I love dogs and cats." For once he lost the you-know-what eating grin. And he was right. Loved it.

Jim Perry...though Bob did an all right job on his version. Jim gets by because not only did he handle the questions well, but he was also MUCH MORE dramatic when calling the cards. Whereas a typical Bob call would be, "Is it higher/lower? Yeahhhhhhh (Nooooooooooo)...."

Actually, Bill Rafferty was way underrated as the syndie version (of the CBS series) host. And Pat Bullard, the less said the better...

Definitely Jim Perry. Bob Eubanks was always kind of creepy to me. He was more appropriate on The Newlywed Game, a more "adult" oriented show. What i like about Card Sharks is the innocent enthusiasm of the contestants, how crazy excited the get, and Jim Perry matches that perfectly.

You know what - I've changed my mind! Since starting this thread, I've watched a lot more of the episodes, under both hosts, and although I do like Bob Eubanks, I gotta say, I really like Jim Perry better. He was just so nice and seemed really sincere.

I like both version very much. Jim Perry was great as host and I loved the energy of the contestants and audience. I like Bob Eubanks version and I like how relaxed Bob was as host. He looked like he was having a lot of fun with the show. I wish his version lasted longer than 3 years because it was a durable little game show. CBS was stupid to cancel the show for "Now You See It" which lasted for about 3 months.
