One of the best scenes of European cinema of the 60's

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxjRDwN7tfs&feature=related

The place is Troumba in Piraeus

The "palikari" walks down the road at sunrize, going to meet his archenemy to have his last showdown for revenge and for the freedom of the call-girl he loves.

The year is 1964.

Troumba was a place like Harlem at it's worst, in the 50's. All the gamblers, scammers, lowlifes and pimps used to hang around there.
It was eventually raided and demolished, long before the movie was shown in the theaters. The block which is shown in the film is in-studio.

Europe had great movies in the 60's, what the *beep* happened?
