This one vs. Sequel?

Personally, I enjoy both films immensely. That said, as I understand it, "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" wasn't as well-received (at least by critics, I don't know much about audiences). If you guys were to compare this film to its sequel, which would you say is better? Or do some of you also enjoy them equally (or almost equally)?
