Norfolk's woman

I can't identify anyone in the cast list who might be this woman, the one he was having sex with, the one who apparently betrayed him... Any ideas?

The actress is Amanda Ryan and her character is called 'Lettice Howard'.

Perhaps Lettice Howard is supposed to be an odd version of Lettice Knollys, who was Elizabeth I's cousin once removed and who secretly married Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester. While she was related to the Howards (her great-grandmother was a Howard), this was never her surname. Nor was she linked with the Duke of Norfolk. But perhaps she is an entirely fictitious character.

The name of the actress is Amanda Ryan. Her name in "Elizabeth" is Lettice Howard. The only reason I know her name is because she was in the movie Britannic.

reply

He called her Knollys in the film though.

reply

You blush Lady Knollys - Dudley

reply

Lady Knolls was one of Elizabeth's ladies in waiting. She had an affair with Dudley, in the movie, not Norfolk.

reply

Didn't i just imply that? lol. ditto. She's one of the girls watching Elizabeth and Dudley having sex. Then, while Dudley was *beep* her, the poison on her dress started to affect her. Since she died before Norfolk's love scene occurred, she couldn't possibly be that girl.

I think two film characters (themselves condensed as composites from history?)are being confused here?
