Should've locked eyes in the last scenes

When Liz and Walsingham corner the desperate Ffiennes, drinking himself into a depressed stupor, he rambles on about his quiver being curled etc.

It would've made for a greater end to the scene if Ffiennes/Queen gave each other one last parting look at one another, just before she exits the balcony.
