Is this the show in which on the tape version there was old japanese movie commercials for movies like godzilla, etc...? i remember there being an ad or something and the music was pretty awesome...

Those Japanese movies would be "Gamera" and "Time of the Apes". The music used can be found on the "Project A-Ko" OST. ; )
