Wow - Team Knight Rider is aweful

Never a truer word has been said spootieho, an attempt at a Power Rangers style was exactly what I saw in this abomination of a show, and a poor one at that for all of the reasons you state (not that I'm a fan of the PR either but this was unfeasibly dire).

And yes KR2010 is also pretty grim, the new KITT above all, it was some kind of concept vehicle I believe as I have never really seen another similar vehicle, as a result the film lost some credibility and also lost touch with the show roots (one man fighting injustice).

Admittedly the original series had KITT too (obviously) but whilst he was modified with shiny new technology he was still at the heart of it all a Trans Am, like one that you would see every other day, and that, I belive is what people liked about it, the normal on the surface semi-realism of the show, the 2010 KITT looked like some kind of futurstic car the likes of which are reserved for superhero transport/battle ie, the Batmobile, which turned the movie into a farce because the show was never meant to be superhero-esque.

I agree that the director and producer didnt pay much attention to detail however if you dont rate this show as a knight rider then its ok. story lines are pretty good acting in someplaces can be phony however that was the time and era it was pretty slow and phony the blond that played Erica she if anything was the wreck the rest not bad. to much feeling in the cars however they also make the show funny i mean the flirting car is stupid but the attitudes the sarcasm the cars are great beast is the brute dante is the brains kat is the realist domino average but feirce and plato speaks in tv lingo you cant veiw it as part of the night rider or youll be disappointed only keep it as a base line because they refer to the foundation, kar kitt and micheal long but beyond that this show is pretty good not a must see but not oh my --- stay away either. watch and enjoy then forget about it.

I am a big knight rider fan. I have watched all of the original episodes, kr2000 and the latest movie/series premiere in 2008. I am fortunate not to have seen kr2010. The plot sounded too ridiculous to give it a chance.

Knight Rider 2010 has nothing to do with the Knight Rider series so i don't see why it would matter.

Now Team Knight is plain aweful. Bad acting, bad directing, bad writing, bad production. I suppose the poor acting is based on poor direction. I felt as if this show was power rangers for 10-14 year olds.

So what? All Power Rangers was, was a live action version of Voltron: Defender of The Universe. So Power Rangers was no better.

And is it a Ford commercial or what? Ford F150, Ford Expedition, Ford Mustang... What is cool about those? A mustang could be cool, but this one had a very typical paint job. KITT was a cool looking car for its time. In 1997 i think they could have used the Dodge Viper or something.

It probably had mostly Ford vehicles because thats who they could burrow the rights from at the time. In Transformers Bumblebee was going to be a VW Beetle but Volks Wagon didn't want to be associated with a violent movie so they refused. Later Michael Bay told people the same thing and added "oh i also didn't want it compared to Herbie". So it's possible Dodge didn't want to be associated with the show overall.
