Filming Locations

Hetty Wainthropp was filmed around Darwen, Blackburn and the Ribble Valley in Lancashire. The Women's Refuge in "Woman of the Year" was Chaigley Manor near Chipping. Any other specific locations spotted?

The episode - I forget which it is - where Hetty and Geoffrey are pretending to be Australians to catch someone out and are visiting a hotel. You see them cross the road and go into a hotel.

The road they cross is Castle Street in Clitheroe - they are a bit further up the hill than where Woolworths is (left hand side) and the library clock is in the background. The hotel they go into is the Swan and Royal and I am pretty certain the supposed interior of the hotel (going along the corridors) is not the real Swan and Royal because the building just isn't big enough.

'How Time Flies' was partially filmed in the video store I ran at the time.
I was there the whole day and you can see my screenplay on the shelf behind the actors.....So technically does that mean ive had my screenplay on TV :) :)

The seaside village perched on the steep sides of a ravine in "Blood Relations" (season/series 4, episode 5) might be Robin Hood's Bay in Yorkshire.

According to that village's website, "in the 18th century, Robin Hood’s Bay was reportedly the busiest smuggling community on the Yorkshire coast." (http://www.robin-hoods-bay.co.uk/robin-hoods-bay/history)

Looks like an interesting place to explore!
