It's what you make it into!

The film is crap, and it was meant to be. The best story ever written, The Emperor's New Clothes, tells you that people can believe anything if they think they should. Some filmmakers (and other artists, politicians, writers, you name it) know that and deliberately make you watch crap, and the very act of you watching becomes art. An in any case they enjoy pulling your leg, it's important to them. That's the case here. There are ideas about how this film affect senses, and if it does - fine, but the main thing is sadism.
So: if you enjoy it - fine. If not, don't worry, there's nothing wrong with you.
