I can't believe...*spoiler*

HARRY EFFED HIS MOM!! I saw it coming the whole time too. I was like "At some point this nasty b!tch is gonna try to eff her son." And sure enough...this story line kind of reminds me of the Ed Gein case where the mother convinces her son that women are all evil sluts, thus suppressing his natural curiosity about sex and furthering his dependence on her. It was a good movie though. I loved the paradox of Harry's character. He was so sheltered and innocent that even at 18 his mother still bathes him, but it fuels his angst to be a ruthless soldier for the mob. Poor Harry had layers upon layers of mental and emotional issues, all stemming from his mother's unhealthy dominance over him.

I initially watched this movie because of my ever-deepening obsession with Norman Reedus and it didn't disappoint. I just can't get over how baby faced he was in it. He can do no wrong in my book, and the fact that I enjoyed a movie where his character ends up sleeping with his own mother proves that!

I love you, Norman! You are a god in a world of mere mortals.
