Couple of questions

Somethings about this movie still confuses me.

In the scene where Hav goes through Lee's bag, she finds a bible with a picture of man beaten up pretty bad... was that Christopher Scott?

Near the end of the movie, Lee and Leigh said their good-byes and hugged. She told him to go away and leave her alone. What did she mean by that??

I read in another thread that the ending where Hav said she has grown and told Lee that she loves him wasn't real, but changes that were made to give the movie a happy ending. Is that true?
