ridiculous

saw this on AMC this weekend and can't believe i plunked down money to see this snooze fest back in '99.

the scmaltz was totally overbearing.

ridiculous plot line with owner informing billy that he is selling the team, and the new owners want to trade him to the giants. really???? on the next to last day of the season, on the verge of making a half a billion dollar purchase, the new owners are negotiating a trade for a washed up pitcher????

the movie is just filled with bs like that.

the scully lyons broadcast schtick was excruciating. scully had to be embarrased to be a part of it. lyons is just an idiot.

costner at the height of his conceit.

Thanks and buh-bye.

This will be the high point of my day; it's all downhill from here.

Heheh... did the same thing. I've gotten accustomed to plonking trolls with the ignore button.

Agreed KING, this just reeks of cheese and is a nadir for most involved. Preston, who admittedly cops the worst of the script, is horrible. Costner isn't bad imo but there is zero chemistry. Raimi must get nauseous thinkin 'bout this one.

And to you, strntz, there's a pic of you in the dictionary under the word pussy. You put someone on ignore for THAT!

I liked the movie for the most part, but I agree that him being traded in principle by guys who don't own the team is downright stupid.
