Really??? Sam Raimi?

This is probably the last kind of film I would expect Sam Raimi to direct. Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie decently, but it's just nothing like Sam Raimi's usual films. When I saw that Raimi directed, I half expected to see a demon-possessed baseball or something like that.

Sam Raimi is probably one of the reasons I liked this movie. His visual style is always a pleasure to watch. I do think the movie was a bit long however.

I finally got to this, after years of almost watching it but choosing something else, and my first reaction was "SAM RAIMI!?!"

Direction was understated, which fit the movie, but had Raimi-esque flair when needed (the first baseball scene especially). Not a great movie, but pleasant. I enjoyed it.
