censored for tv

This happened to be on tv today. Not a great film. None of the characters were likeable which makes it tough to watch. Also sad now that Anne Meara is gone.

Since this was on regular antenna tv and not cable, of course the cuss words and taking the "lord's" name in vain were edited out. Annoying, but I get old people who won't pay for cable get terribly offended by words.

At one point in the film, a woman's breasts were fuzzed out. It was quite distracting. She wasn't topless. She had a shirt on. The shirt was buttoned. So I have to assume she had (OMG!) erect nipples showing which had to be edited out. Heaven forbid we see a woman's nipples through a shirt! Can you imagine if every episode of Three's Company had a fuzzy blob covering Chrissie's braless chest? lol

Even more insulting, a man with no shirt then enters the scene. His nipples aren't fuzzed out. We can see a naked man's nipples, but not a woman's nipples through a shirt? Why must we continue to shame women for their bodies? I'm not a feminist, but this is ridiculous.

The people you idolize wouldn't like you.
