Election (1999) VS To Die For (1995)

This movie and To Die For (1995) are hands down two of my favourite black comedies and I can't help but view them having such similar tone, style and themes.

Suzanne Stone and Tracy Flick are so strikingly similar they are practically kindred spirits. Both overly ambitious, quirky and eccentric. The mannerisms in which Kidman and Witherspoon use in their performance is very comparable with their expressions, their posturing even the costuming, make up and hair-styling have similar strives to perfection in their looks. They both have that same quality of over-zealousness to match their extended ambitions.

But I also find the editing, the framing of the narrative, the colour palette, the dialogue etc. to be quite similar as well.

Does anyone else think these two movies would make a great double feature? And can anyone suggest any similar black comedies with a similar style?
