hello, just wondering if there is an online transcript of the movie script in english? i have the german dvd but i dont understand german :)
the movie looks so good i just want to understand what is happening! thanks
Hey I just got hooked up again on this movie, saw it 3 times in the last 24 hours. It`s THAT good :)
While watching I was thinking to myself "this needs to be translated into english so all the people in the world can enjoy one of the best german/computer movies of all time". At the same time I was translating many parts in thoughts ;)
If this is what people really want, I would start with dumping the german script, then translating as much as I can. What I really need would be some native english speakers to help with "polishing" as there`re many sentences which don`t make sense if translated word-by-word.
So, what`s your opinion ?

Phew, I feared there will be no response to my post. Looks like this movie is practically unknown outside of Germany. Good reason to do a proper english translation :)
So, will you have the time (and will) to visit this board for the next weeks/months as we try to translate this movie for everyone ?
It`d be very disappointing if we had to stop halfway through :/

Good luck to you guys. I'm American, in California, and don't speak German, damn it. This sounds like an incredible movie and I'd like to see it (and understand it.) The period interests me, especially in light of the arrogance of the Reagan years, with some here still stupid enough to believe their handling of the Cold War caused the collapse of the Soviet bloc, when it had seemed inevitable for years due to natural causes. If anything, I've always thought American intransigence simply delayed the final thawing. I really want to see this movie. If anyone knows any company to contact to encourage a US dvd release, I'd appreciate that information also.

Hey these subtitles are very good. Not perfect, but after reading them for 5 minutes I think you`ll have a lot of fun watching this movie. I`ll keep on working on my translation, though ;)
