watched last night...

bad case of insomnia so at 3 am up watching this movie.

i am a fan of both Barbara & Maureen, I am not however a fan of this movie.

several reasons, poor writing being the biggest, no one had conversations, it was spit out as much information in a scene as possible so everyone knows what is happening (big red flag that writing is the problem and not the actors)

another problem was that there was no tension/conflict, by that i mean when you watch the movie there is no personal struggel, inner turmoil etc. We would all love to have a life like that but a movie with no tension is...well dull.

There are several places that could have helped build her character in the movie, when as a child he parents decided the family needed to stay home, recording her first album while her husband is overseas, etc. What about show biz with her sisters? I think they were in two scenes...

the only place that the writers tried to express conflict/tension is when Barbara is on the bus talking about missing the kids, however the next thing you know she is pulling up in front of the house.

with out tension/conflict characters in a movie come out very 1 dimensional, and sadly this is the case with this movie.
