cute movie, but chris o'donnell...

..something about him just annoys the hell out of me. especially in this movie. i just kept wishing his scenes would be shorter and more non existent. his character in this was annoying, but honestly i dont think ive ever liked a single character ive seen him play. im not saying he's a bad actor, i just dont like the characters. they annoy me to no end. like all he plays are childish boys or something. even to this day.

other than that, i loved the emma willis relationship. the cops and willis thing. it was just all really cute and endearing. i enjoyed it.

But he IS a bad actor. I like him. I find him incredibly appealing. But the boy can't act. And in this particular movie, surrounded by some of the best actors in the world, he not only wasn't up for the job, he obviously was trying way too hard. And it showed. If he'd just been doing a bad acting job, but underplayed it, the problem would have been less noticeable. Actually, this is really Altman's fault. Because the director should have done something to get a less hammy performance out of Chris. And Altman obviously did nothing.

He´s not too bad here, but the experience of having seen him in Scent Of A Woman once is incredibly hard to shake off - has there ever been a more insufferable, annoying & uptight prick than his character in that ridiculous film?
