How old were you when this show came out?

I was 12 in 1993 and boy this show rocked! it was action packed, well written, well animated and had great characterizations. I was hooked from the start and i even played that terrible video game which AVGN needs to review badly. I even had feel funny when i saw Miss Briggs.

I guess I'm the only older fan here of this awesome show.

No, you're not.
SWAT KATS was a breath of fresh air after decades of Hanna/Barbera "action" garbage.
It had absolutely fantastic graphics and animation, and the concept of making all the characters feline was very novel and clever.
I wouldn't recommend it to very young children, though, due to its violence content.

You can always tell stupid dawn of the internet age kids on comments like this.

It's already stupid to try and act like stuff is new when all of fiction rips off of stuff in the past, there are no exceptions, yet people on here try and act liek SWAT KATS war original when it was just the same as all the years before it.

People like half-assed arguments saying how Flintstones and Jetsons were the same show because they played out the same way and that characters changes, setting changes, etc all meant nothing. Same kind of stupid arguments come at saying Scooby Doo, Josie, Jabberjaw, etc.

Now here we are acting like SWAT Kats was new? Hell no show plays out just the same as all the other super hero and action shows HB did for years. You want to throw *beep* arguments saying the above were the same, then how the hell is SWAT KATs different from Space Ghost and Herculoids? Heroes beat the hell out of bad guys. That's all the premise is, clearly all the differences in characters, setting and all mean nothing and SWAT Kats was recycling plots just the same as all the others.

Plus half the characters in this show are "ripping off" Characters from other media. Not even the idea of humanoid KATS was new to SWAT Kats. It ripped off a Rankin bass show that did it in the 80s. It wasn't novel or clever. It was a basic idea that they used to change the characters. No different from using a talking dog or a talking shark.

And what the hell kind of **** is it about the picture. They still cut corners in the 90s as they did for years. The only difference was under a Turner Watchdog era they had more money to spend on certain projects and had fewer projects then when they sold cartoons to all three major networks every season most of the time competing with themselves. When that weight is off your shoulder you get a little more money, but still SWAT KATS was hardly that much better than anything else of the time.

I refuse to argue on IMDB until the general populous actually uses their brains

I was 6 when it came out and I had vague memories of certain episodes I recently went back and watched the whole series it's awesome, too bad it didn't last just a couple more seasons.

Yeah, I was about six when it first came out, it was so awesome. Used to watch it all the time. SWAT Kats were badass and T-Bone ALWAYS reminded me of R.J. MacReady from The Thing, one of my favorite movies ever.

I was 9 when the show started. However I didn't watch it(or even know about it) until it started airing on Cartoon Network a couple years later. In 1995 IIRC.

Sick of threads "Megan Fox should play this!"

I was 5. I'm struggling to recall the episodes in full but am very fond of the two main guys in action.

I was 7, I didn't watch it during it's TBS run, because it was on Sunday morning and I had to go to Church or was watching the original Nicktoons block. I did see the reruns a few years later on CN, mainly because my best friend at the time (who looking back on it, was probably a furry, but the word/community didn't exist), obsessed over it.
