Greatest animated kids show ever?

I think so. When you actually take a step back and analyze some of the stories, it's quite deep and relatable for people of any age. The playground itself was really a microcosm of the larger world with just about every cultural, societal demographic represented in some fashion. And every episode had a message that could easily be applied to how we live in some way no matter what age. Maybe I'm overthinking it but I've always thought it was an incredibly deep show masked behind the ruse of a Disney animated series.

This or Hey Arnold! It's so hard to choose between them. Rugrats was great too.

I have to agree with Yuffie and say it's a tie between this and Hey Arnold

I see you have learned to work the Google on the internet machine.- Blades of Glory

Disagree. That honor belongs to Daria followed by As Told by Ginger with Hey Arnold coming in third. Recess gets a respectable fourth place finish though.

Actually, Avatar: The last airbender comes in at number 1. Followed by Recess (2), Hey Arnold (3), and gargoyles (4).

If Daria's included we may as well throw in 90s Simpsons, South Park, Futurama, etc.

As far as Disney cartoons go, I've probably enjoyed Recess more than any other. Other favorties include Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Beast Wars, Weekenders. But my all-time number one is Batman: TAS.

Greatest kids show of the 90's more like. Only two others I can think of where they are just as good- Rugrats and the Simpsons. Although the Simpsons is more adults oriented in it's themes and Rugrats and Recess are more oriented towards kids, any age group can watch them and enjoy them.

I still watch this show every now and then on youtube at age 24 and it is really a brilliant show. The humor is great and never gets stale, the plots are witty and clever, the characters are interesting, and it is appealing whether you are watching it age 7 or age 30.
