DVD sets: Entertainment Rights vs. Mill Creek

Back in '05 when HM&TMOTU was released on DVD by Entertainment Rights I checked both seasons (Spread over four sets) out from my local library. I was really impressed by the presentation and the special features, but I never did get around to picking them up. Entertainment Rights went belly-up and the rights were picked up by Mill Creek, a company with a reputation for cutting corners. Back in '11 they re-released seasons 1 & 2, this time in two sets.

Now I'd like to pick up the complete series, but I was wondering which to go with. Prices for the Entertainment Rights sets vary, with season 1/part 1 and part 2, available combined on Amazon for about the price of the Mill Creek season 1 set. But the 2nd season of the Entertainment Rights sets are quite a bit more expensive, while the Mill Creek set is fairly cheap.

I was wondering if anyone out there who has the Mill Creek set could tell me if there are any quality issues with the release, and what, if any, of the original special features are included.

Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen the Mill Creek releases, but I would suggest getting the the BCI (or as you say Entertainment Rights) because they are amazing sets! Tons of behind-the-scenes special features! And the picture quality is great!

I have all the sets (He-Man, New Adventures of He-Man and She-Ra), I got all the sets of He-Man and New Adventures for $25 a pop and the first season of She-Ra for $25 as well, then one day Best Buy had them all on sale for $10 each and I grabbed the last 2 sets of She-Ra for $10 each, and I'm not even kidding a few weeks later they were out of print.

Dragonzord! Mastodon! Pterodactyl! Triceratops! Saber Toothed Tiger! Tyrannosaurus!

Thanks for the response . What I ultimately decided to do is pick up the ER/BCI Season 1, part 1 and 2 sets off Amazon used (I got Part 1 for under $4 and it arrived today in fantastic condition) and then keep an eye out for a bargain on the more expensive season 2 sets. If nothing materializes in the next few months I'll just pick up the MC set to complete the series.
