BTW, I don't remember any colored people on He-Man. The only one I remember from She-Ra was a villain I think.

Clamp Champ was black and released in the regular MotU line as a Heroic Warrior

But really, with the Villains they went mostly monster style, there was a lot of color: Beast Man was orange/red, Meer Man was green, so was Kobra Khan, Evil Lynn originally was yellow.

There was also the archivist, I can't remember his name. He was also black and a fairly important character. Unfortunately we never got an action figure based on him.

reply

Some of the villains, has a white guy's body. but a Monster Head? like Man-e-face.

reply

In the 80s there were no people of colour.

There are all kinds of people of color on MOTU! Beastman is orange. Merman is green. Skeletor is blue.

The OP is incorrect. I assume by "people of color," the OP is using a euphemism for "black." And MOTU features plenty of black people - contrary to what the OP said, the number is way more than 4.

reply

Well how many is it then?

reply

Good question. Maybe someone who is highly familiar with the series could offer a reasonable count.

But first the OP should make clear which 4 he has already counted, exactly.

I'm just going by the original toy line right now because it makes it easier:

There are 43 different characters in that are non-white.
But that cartoon had a lot of characters that wasn't made into toys, so the actual number is probably a lot higher.

For *beep* sake, some of the characters aren't even human. Attak track and roboto are machines. There is two guys made out of stone, battle cat is a *beep* tiger. How much more diversity do you need?
