This movie is inappropriate

I've never witnessed a "children's" movie which is less appropriate for children than Shrek. Why, there's so much foul language! So much violence! So much potty humour! So much sexual innuendo! Why would anyone allow their child's mind to be poisoned by this filth is beyond me.

reply

Awesome. You're probably offended by the Starbucks holiday cups, too.

reply

No. I don't care about Starbucks. It's just a cup I'll forget about in a month from now. But Shrek? If I showed this movie to my kid, they'd remember it forever and develop crude humour totally inappropriate for a seven-year-old.

reply

...I just showed your comment to my 9 year old son and he told me to type back to you that you are retarded and that he's sorry for your kids.

Btw my son loves the Shrek movies - mainly for the humour.

reply

Your child must be a real brat to say things like that about absolute strangers.

I just now showed him this new post of yours and he said he only says things like that to absolute retards.

reply

If he was my kid, I'd beat him until he bleeds for being rude to strangers.

reply

...that's exactly what a retard would do.

By that logic, you must not have had good parents yourself.

Wow, edgelord

reply

Says the advocate for baby/child abuse/murder.

reply

Hey, abortion isn't murder, and when have I ever advocated for child abuse?

reply

If he was my kid, I'd beat him until he bleeds for being rude to strangers.

reply

I'd rather go to jail for beating my kids than for them to go to jail because I didn't. It's not abuse if it's the last straw measure to get them back in line

reply

Spoken like an amateur.

I give 3/10. You can troll better than this.

reply

Come now, I'm not a troll. Why would you think that?

reply

Be aware that on another board Living Witness is arguing that all animation is mindless entertainment only suitable for alleviating the boredom of small children. It is clearly trolling, so you might want to consider just killfiling it.

reply

Careful buddy, your autism is showing.

reply

Uh oh another over protective parent who wraps their child in so much cotton wool they'l lead a sheltered life!

reply

Except that I'm not a parent and I hate kids.

reply

You hate kids but you watch movies like Shrek and tell other people what their kids should watch?

reply

Absolutely. Most parents are like cows--not really able to think for themselves properly, and you have to kinda bark at them to get them to do anything properly.

reply

Yes because we now live in a p.ussy generation and politically corrrect society. B.itch, I watched Hunchback of Notre Dame, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White and Pinocchio growing up and those are a lot more adult and dark than this. I feel
Bad for your kids.

reply

Why? Because they don't exist and never will?

reply

I think the movie is great. But I'm an adult. Yes, there are moments of violence and crude humor, the answer to that, there isn't one and you can't hide your kids from it forever. I am wondering if you caught the messages tho? Appearances shouldn't matter, dont judge people before you get to know them and what you are looking for doesn't always come the way you thought it would. This is an animated movie that adults can enjoy too. And that's OK. If you wanna monitor everything your child sees, hears, does, that's up to you. But finding humor in a movie like this is not a crime. We all enjoy different things. Lighten up and find a little humor in life.

A stupid adult.

Yes, there are moments of violence and crude humor, the answer to that, there isn't one and you can't hide your kids from it forever.

So do you think someone should beat their kids and tell them black jokes because you can't hide them from crude humour and violence forever? If not, why is this any different?

Appearances shouldn't matter,

So it has an unrealistic message as well. Appearances are always going to matter--we're going to prefer people with clean teeth over those with yellow ones, we're going to prefer the well-dressed over the people with ripped clothes, and we're going to prefer the people who shave and brush their hair over people who don't.

...dont judge people before you get to know them...

I'll be sure to pass that one around to all the people who hate Hitler and Stalin.

...and what you are looking for doesn't always come the way you thought it would.

And that's mostly reflective of people failing to do the research behind it before doing it.

It is a Dreamworks animated movies and at the time this came out, Dreamworks was and still is making more PG animated movies. I believe if I am correct there are at least 3 I say 2 to 3 Dreamworks animated movies that have a G rating. They were making the kind of movies that disney wasn't making too much of, and not it is different has Disney has had more PG animated movies like Lilio & Stich, Bolt, Tangled, Wreck-it Ralph, Frozen, and Big Hero 6. But the big difference between Disney animated movies and Dreamworks animated movies, is that Disney animated movies don't have any bad language in them, other then the Hunchback of Notre Dame can you think of any Disney animated movies with bad language in them?

reply

Everyone knows Dreamworks sucks anyway. Disney's a lot better.

reply

Am not. I don't live under a bridge!

Parents like this are the reason why I fear for the future of our country

reply

Except I'm not a parent. It's better if people don't have children.
