Love this film

I have been on a roll with Jean Rollin films lately, as many of them are available on my Kindle Fire. A lot of them are trash, but two of his have really stuck with me, being "Lips of Blood" and "The Iron Rose". Both take a more surrealistic approach to their stories which for whatever reason really works for me.

Despite its flaws, this movie had some magical quality to it that made me feel young again (a rare feat anymore sadly). I was in my teens in the 70's I guess it somehow taps into my state of mind back then.

I totally dug the beautifully brooding gloom-doom atmosphere of this film.

I'm a totally bitchin' bio writer from Mars!

Not much really happens in this film (no surprise for a Rollin film) but it shows what you can do with locations and atmosphere to tell a story.

It was quite titillating.
