Good fricking luck! It took me FOREVER to hunt down a VHS of this and I tried playing it the other day and it flashes in and out of color (when the beautiful imagery and color is part of what makes this film so amazing). You can sometimes find them on ebay, BUT make sure to ask the seller a question first because there are a lot of screeners out there and I know this from working at video stores-I remember when it was being given out as a screener. In case you dont know what a screener is, its a promotional copy that is given out to video stores to promote rentals and sales of otherwise pretty unknown films and there is this message that comes on the screen about every 5 minutes that scrolls along the bottom that warns that if you bought this blah blah blah to call a hotline to report it. Its extremely annoying. My copies of Amelie and Mulholland Dr are both screeners. I passed by about 5 copies on ebay that were screeners before I finally found the copy that I own. Now I need to look for it AGAIN!!! because my copy was apparently only good for its first two viewings. Needless to say, if you really want I can make a copy for you-just email me

Whenever I used to buy films or cds from eBay, I always had problems, and generally ebay takes the stance of no intervention. eBay Sellers purposely use several accounts to bring up the bidding, too. I've seen "rare" films go up to $400 during an auction, and then found the same film for under $50 on other websites that specialize in rare films.
It is on Amazon now, $9.99. Just watched it again on IFC today, it's very hard to stop watching, kind of pulls you in for the entire thing.
shareIt is on EncoreTV today. I am watching it now. It is being replayed later. I will more than likely burn it to DVD later tonight. I don't know the legality behind it, but I can burn a DVD for you if you cover the cost of the DVD and a little extra for my time and effort. Let me know if this is something you would like.
