cmon on now, does anyone else agree this movie deserves better than a sub6??? am i the only one that, whenever i see its on, i stop and usually watch it?? great movie...great acting from hatosy....and ofcorse its a classic alec baldwin...funny, dramatic, meaningful...

I actually saw this movie in a theater back in the day. I loved it then and I love it more each time I watch it. It may not quite be the perfect comedy, but it is darn close. It certainly belongs in the pantheon of great comedies of the 90s and, as a 1970s period piece, it stands alone with "Dazed and Confused" as the best of their kind. On its worst day, it is an 8+.

The entire cast is great. It's a funny movie, with some heart too. I enjoy it watching it every time I get a chance.
This is the least talked about Farrelly Brothers movie, but is probably the most entertaining. Most of their movies from this time frame are silly as crap, but this one is different. And it still works, and works better. I think because it deals with actual issues that make people uncomfortable, and issues that a lot of people don't relate to. Maternal suicide, closet gay poker friends, etc. I'm watching this movie for the first time since college (12+ years) and I still love it.
