Dub this in english and I'll watch it.

Already watched Vanilla Sky and liked it so the same is likely true of this movie. However subtitles get tedious especially in a film with so much ancillary action that looking at the subtitles would make one miss much of the nuance between actors. Before the snobs chime in yes I do like some subtitled films but still prefer dubbing in english.

I hate dubbing AND subtitles. I wish I could just understand any language.

A film with good acting, good dialog, and/or a good story, is the only good film.

Yes indeed!

I guess the problem is your viewing experience gets worse either way. Subtitles distract you from all the visuals, which is especially annoying when you're watching some good actors. Dubbing doesn't really improve anything either since you're removing the original voices with, usually, poor voice acting. Add a lot of loss in translation to that as well, and I end up preferring subtitles if I really don't understand what is said, because then I can still listen to the actual people. Both suck though.

You should really give this movie a chance WITHOUT dubbing. The dubbing takes half of the actor's work away. It's just a matter of getting used to not having to change the focus entirely from the scene to the subtitles.

Ideally, I wish I could understand any language. But I just a dumb bag of hammers. However I have no problem with subtitles. And in a great film like Abre Los Ojos, you should watch it in Spanish. Dubbing is a poor substitute. Dubbing acting tends to have weak acting. Dubbing can provide some great laughs though, I enjoy it in the Bruce Lee movies.

Dalton and Craig! Accept NO substitutes!

Ughh, I hate dubbing. I love subtitles though.

This apple may be fake but at least it has stars on it.

please die. or at least learn to read subtitles.

This is what is wrong with America, you are so lazy, how could you wan't something dubbed? You lose tone and feeling in their voice. Just learn to read better and understand people exist other than in america!

reply

You have to be kidding me. Not only do sub titles not bother me, I also look at people who will only watch dubbed versions of movies as more simple then myself..and I'm an AMERICAN. So Americans are lazy because some of them don't like sub titles, and you're so lazy you group an entire population as too lazy for sub titles.

reply

Surely you read faster than people speak? Because if you do, you won't miss any visuals. Just learn to read (faster).
