LOSER! It's one thing to be a 'loner' and/or 'lonely'....but to sell out your sister because you are lonely makes such a person a genuine LOSER!!!!

You have got to be kidding, Joan was gorgeous. I was surprised she was the "loser", her sister was pretty but so bland and blonde that Joan definitely stood out more. I don't understand how the sister always got guys and Joan didn't.

Joan was very beautiful, she just didn't put herself out there and even try to meet guys. I'm sure if she went out sometimes she would've met plenty of guys who would've found her gorgeous. She just always carried this guilt over her shoulders about what happened w/their dad; I think she felt like she didn't deserve happiness and Michael fed on her weakness (he was obsessed w/Laura; that is not love). I think Joan should've realized that Michael was just using her, she was smarter than that but at the same time like the attention.
