I've watched it, but...
the version I watched has been devided into 4 parts, and total run time is a bit more than 3 hours.
And IMDb says "Runtime: 113 min / Sweden:107 min".
There must be a mistake.
BTW: I love this film, and I love Sofie!
That's not a mistake... there are actually 3 versions of the film... a 113 minute version.. a 4 part and an 8 part mini-series versions that have scenes that were not originaly in the 113 min ver. I was an audio enginieer at the Studio that did the English Voice Dubb for all 3 versions a few years ago and have a copy of the 113 minute version, in English... no subtitles...

Since you've watched all 3 versions, which version in your opinion is the best?
To me ... the 8 hour version is the best as it covers just about everyting that was in the book. You get to see so many more characters that just aren't in the 113 minute version. Like Dr. Frued for example.

shareI haven't been able to find any version at all (film, series, Eng dubbed, Eng subbed) I'm in England and I would love to see this film as I adore Gaarder's work. :)
Can anyone help me in tracking down a copy. I'd watch it Dubbed into English or in the original Norwegian w/eng subbing.
