Aris Iliopulos?
The director of this gem is supposed to be a fellow by the name Aris Iliopulos.
Anyone knows more about him? I can't find any info anywhere. I'd say, that Billy Zane directed it himself and Aris Iliopulos is just his pseudonym.
Apparently Iliopulos wrote Manhattan Gigolò and played the part of Rudy. I've never seen the film so who knows. Maybe I'll try to get a hold of it and look at the end credits? Interesting theory you have there. It bothers me to no end that there is so little information about this film when a) it's phenomenal and b) there's a decent amount of well-known actors.
**Edit** Nevermind, I didn't have to look far. I found a trailer (I guess) for Manhattan Gigolò and low & behold, Iliopulos' name is in the credits. I did a little more research and his character, Rudy, is in fact one of the main players. By process of elimination, I figured out that he is the dark haired dude on the DVD cover in the Amazon link.
I do still think it's strange that he only has two film credits to his name. :shrug:
