This is why I will never adopt children. I think most of the time they end up being drug babies with severe emotional and mental problems. Power to people who are willing to change everything upside down to work with kids with severe issues. I couldn't do it. I worked with kids with emotional disturbances for 7 years and imagine how difficult it is to live with them (working with them was exhausting due to the screams, tantrums, and number of times they would physically hurt you). I remember when a 10 year old's therapist called me up with the warning that the boy stated he had thoughts of killing me.

Wow. How are you not burned out of that job? Seems like it must be emotionally draining. You are tough!

I said worked LMAO. I didn't get paid enough to feel like crap everyday and risk my own safety and personal wellbeing. There are plenty of rewarding jobs where you don't have to feel that way.

Ooops, missed the past tense. I agree, plenty of rewarding jobs where your life isn't threatened daily. That sort of job would burn me out quickly. I don't blame you for leaving.
